Aquafeed Formulation Short Course

Soy Aquaculture Alliance’s annual Aquafeed Formulation Short Course offers members in-depth training on feeding systems and related topics of practical application. It is designed to introduce U.S.-based feed, aquaculture, and agriculture industry professionals to the dynamic field of aquaculture nutrition and feed formulation. Each Short Course features engaging speakers, hands-on learning with BESTMIX 4, access to feed formulation databases, and networking opportunities with fellow participants and industry leaders.

Applications are now open for the second short course, held July 10-12 at Auburn University. While the cost of the course itself is free, participation is limited to 25 participants to be selected by the organizers — follow the link below to apply by April 15th! (Please note that if selected, travel and lodging expenses are your responsibility.)

The Soy Aquaculture Alliance hosted an hour-long webinar on October 25 discussing how soy is used in aquaculture formulations and the impact of its use for soybean farmers. This webinar explored how soy is a solid fishmeal replacement, how feed nutritionists determine how much soy can be included, and when soy is or isn't the right answer for fish feed.
